THE VODKA SQUADRON 303, ORIGINS AND AUTHENTICITY
The 100% natural Squadron 303 vodka is made in England at a distillery in North London. Its exclusive recipe scrupulously respects the constraints faced by the RAF's handcraft vodka distillers in the 1940s. Like its ancestors, Squadron 303 vodka is produced from a unique variety of locally grown potatoes, the King Edward, rich in starch. On the other hand, time was running out, so vodka was distilled only once, in small copper stills. The distillation of Squadron vodka 303 is therefore done in one pass. Its particularly long distillation time makes it possible to obtain an exceptional degree of purity, while maintaining a naturally sweet nose and aromas. To recall its original background, the Squadron 303 vodka is not filtered. This preserves the flavors and distinguishes itself from the usual vodka standards.
‘OPTIMA IN HISTORIAE’
'The Best from History', this is the motto of Squadron 303 vodka. It is the respect of these historical constraints that has given the Squadron 303 vodka its exceptional quality and perfect balance according to vodka lovers. Squadron 303 vodka has a very smooth, sweet attack, followed by an outbreak of biscuit flavors in a persistent finish. Its nose is appealing and often associated with a coppery smell. This ideal structure allows tasting of Squadron 303 vodka at room temperature.
A SINGULAR VODKA IN THE WORLD OF SPIRITS OF EXCEPTION
The strict respect of its historical constraints associated with a very long distillation time has given the Squadron 303 vodka an exceptional quality that distinguishes it very clearly from other traditional vodkas. Thanks to this singularity, Squadron 303 vodka has won awards in the most prestigious international spirits competitions. In particular, a Double Gold, a Gold Medal and a Silver Medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2018 and a Grand Prix Trophy at the 2018 International World Spirits Competition in London.
Squadron 303 vodka is, above all, a human adventure. An adventure that brought together four long-time friends with a passion for aviation, history, design ... and vodka! After reconstituting a Royal Air Force officers' mess in the heart of Paris, Franck, Alain, Baptiste and Hugues launched the Squadron 303 vodka in October 2016. With the constant concern to respect its historical origins and the values conveyed by this squadron of Polish heroes. Two years later, the Vodka Squadron 303 distributed by the Dugas Company has become a reference for independent wine merchants and cocktail bars. Squadron 303 vodka is distributed in 10 countries, including Poland, the historic birthplace of Squadron 303 pilots, in which it received a warm welcome from potato vodka enthusiasts.
BACK IN THE SKY
To celebrate the launch of the new Flying Flaks collection, we have offered the Flying Flask Squadron 303 Vodka to renowned warbird pilots. The goal was to fly this flask, inspired by those carried by the pilots of the Royal Air Force during the Second World War. Among the pilots who responded to the call of this operation 'Back in the Sky', is a legend well known to fans of vintage aircraft and former Royal Air Force pilot, Charlie Brown.
And now for something completely different...
